"Ten years ago, we might have dealt with a tick or tick question once or twice in a season. A week does not go by now where we are not dealing with ticks or finding a Lyme-positive dog. Lyme disease is on our radar every single day and we are continuously implementing a barrage of defenses to minimize our patients’ (and their owners’) exposure to this potentially devastating disease. It is only going to intensify unless we find better and more efficient ways to battle these annoying pests and increase the awareness of the disease."
