Experts say ticks now carry more than one disease
"It's the second year the Lyme Research Alliance has held a tournament at the Stanwich Club and expects to raise close to $100,000. Executive Director of the Lyme Research Alliance, Peter Wild says the amount of ticks in Fairfield County is increasing.
"There is not a lot of government funding for lyme disease research, the problem is increasing in Fairfield County. I find almost everybody who I talk to who has lyme disease and at the moment it's getting worse, it's not getting better."
