The most common co infections in Europe that we know of are Bartonella, Babesia, Ehrlichia, Chlamydia Pneumoniae, and Mycoplasma. Also opportunistic infections like Streptococcus, Yersinia, Epstein Barr Virus (glandular fever) and Coxsackie (Hand foot and mouth disease) can take hold and become more serious due to a patients immunosupression.
It has been estimated that 90% of patients with tick borne illness are co-infected.
