Mel Clarke, World Champion archer's career was put on hold when she collapsed during training with the GB team in the U.S.
Rushed to hospital she went into a coma and was given only 24 hours to live. The U.S. Doctors diagnosed Lyme Disease, an infection transmitted by the bite from a tiny tick. She woke up blind and paralysed from the waist down. Her story is uplifting and amazing as she is forced to carve out a new life for herself.
