Joshua became severely ill in 2007. Paralyzed, almost blind, tremors, seizers, paralyzed shoulder, severe neurological pains, and so on.
My son, my hero. In no way your illness had to do with a conversion disorder like many doctors told us without testing or without proper physical examinations! When we refused to accept the diagnosis of a conversion disorder, we as parents were accused of child abuse (von Münchhausen by Proxy). We have seen to many courtrooms until we finally freed you from being under the supervision from the child protection service. In fact the child protection service and those many doctors are the ones who are guilty of child abuse and medical neglect. Finally the treatment could start in 2012. Which neurological damage will remain is still unknown. The feeling in your legs, from your hips down to your toes, did not yet return. But you can walk again! Your left eye still blind, and your right eye slowly improving from 5 to 17%.
The fight against Lyme Disease and Neuro-borreliosis was and still is a long way. The longest and most difficult road is now behind us, but there is still a road ahead.
