We are Lyme disease
Listen to us please
We've come a long way
Hear what we have to say

The NHS push us to the bottom of their list
Inflexible to our cries and to our fist
So many of us are pleading for change
To end our suffering and pain

We are not overtly trying to cause a fuss
Nor are we begging for you to pity us
All we want is an understanding that we are truly sick
A crippling life because of a tick

We would not be here if we didn't have a true cause
The NHS must realise and alter their laws
Because we will not stop our jest
Until you provide us with a test

A test to show what's truly going on
To not just dismiss us and say 'nah you've got chronic fatigue son'.
Because until GP's are taught how to catch it quick
People will continue to become disabled and sick

There must be a way to open your eyes
So that to Lyme disease we can say our good byes
