Do you have Leaky-Brain Syndrome?

Health tip of the day: Health tip of the day: Do you have Leaky-Brain Syndrome? Second in our series on ammonia. If you have Lyme disease, MS, ALS, Parkinson's, Multiple Chemical Sensitivity, or any other neurological, or chronic illness...you likely have large amounts of ammonia in the liver, heart, brain, and jaws.

It has been reported that many neurological problems are caused by elevated ammonia in the brain. (Albrecht 1998).

All of the ammonia-related pathological changes predispose a person to cerebral allergies. These cerebral allergies are actually hypersensitivity reactions due to alterations in the blood brain barrier creating "Leaky Brain Syndrome", a term I coined for when the blood brain barrier is damaged from the infections and ammonia and is allowing larger than normal molecules, such as common dietary amino acids, to pass through to the brain.

The over-alkalinity of the brain, as well as the Leaky Brain Syndrome, from the bacterial-induced ammonia cause damage to neurotransmitter receptors and function is impaired leading to an incredible amount of dysregulation throughout the body.

Possibly the most common symptom of ammonia on the brain is altered brain energy metabolism. People with this problem suffer with cognitive brain dysfunctions, vertigo, and the total debilitating fatigue of the mind and body when forced to read, talk, or think for extended periods.

When all of these issues are happening it is very common that random foods, smells, sounds, and antibiotics just add insult to injury often leading to years of suffering.

Getting rid of the source of the ammonia, eliminating the ammonia, correcting the neurological tissue damage from the ammonia, and restoring optimum function of these tissues is paramount before relief can be achieved.

If you live outside (or inside) of the State of Kansas and are considering coming to the Hansa Center...you are not alone...over 90% of our patients come from other states and countries. Talk with Kara, our wonderful and compassionate Patient Care Coordinator, directly by calling (316-686-5900), or have a private live chat on our webpage (www.HansaCenter.com) and let us help you get here.
