Lyme disease in Australia: Vets know more than Doctors
The Australian government and medical profession insist that Australia is the only continent where people can't get Lyme disease, leaving thousands of suffers to seek diagnoses overseas and pay hugely for local treatment - if they can get any. It's hoped that a round table meeting of the House of Representatives Committee on Health next month will see recognition that Lyme disease does exist, that research is needed, and sufferers need medical help.
