Donations will be used to develop more Molecular Beacon DNA probes to detect
strains of Borrelia which are not picked up by current Blood tests.
Such include, but are not limited to, borrelia americanum and andersoni
in the southern USA, borrelia Kurtenbachii in the USA and in Europe,
Borrelia bissetti, which has been proven to cause human heart valve
infection requiring valve surgical removal, and borrelia sinica in Asian
geographies.

The Duray Foundation was founded by me in honor of the great American Pathologist and Lyme Disease Pioneer , Dr. Paul Harrison Duray,MD. Paul passed away in 2012. He made many stellar contributions to the Medical Spectrum of Lyme Borreliosis by his microscopic expert studies, using silver stains to detect Borrelia spirochetes in diseased human Tissues.
