I
am proud to share with you the results of the Dapsone trial at our
medical center. I could not have done this without the incredible help
of our research team at the Hudson Valley Healing Arts Center: Dr
Phyllis Freeman, my PhD "research sister", Haley Moss, PhD, David
Turock, PhD, and Sonja Siderias, my trusty nurse. And I especially want
to deeply thank my patients for the trust they put in me to find answers
for their "insoluble" problems. I will be discussing details of
this paper at all of the upcoming conferences and galas this year,
including in the next few months: Bay Area Lyme Foundation, University
of Binghamton, IFM, Dutchess County Tick Task Force, ILADS, and the
Omega Institute in Rhinebeck (a 3 day workshop). I will be discussing
who should consider using Dapsone, how best to use it and minimize
side-effects, which will also be highlighted in detail in my new book
released at the end of the year, "How Can I Get Better? An Action Plan
for Treating Resistant Lyme and Chronic Disease". The next step is
taking Dapsone and combining it with other antibiotics and biofilm
busters, to see if we can come up with a superior combination that kills
borrelia. That study is about to take place with myself and Dr
Eva Sapi at the University of New Haven, thanks to the generosity of
the Lyme Navigator Foundation. We are moving forward. So although the
recent PLEASE study didn't find answers to help suffering Lyme patients,
and told them that longer term antibiotics don't work, this study,
based on recent research on persister bacteria from Johns Hopkins and
Northeastern University, had positive results, giving us all hope
