Comments from Georgia Lyme Disease Association: "Time reports on Borrelia miyamotoi, the relapsing fever spirochete newly found in humans. But what do they mean, the illness doesn't have a name yet? It's RELAPSING FEVER. B. miyamotoi belongs to the relapsing fever group of Borrelia. In Europe when other Lyme Borrelia species were found to cause disease, they still called it, Lyme disease. This is another species of Relapsing Fever bacteria identified in people..why screw up reporting of cases by naming it something else?"
