"Dutch submitted a petition of 65,000 names to parliament in 2009, enough to make sure the issue gets debated under citizen's initiative legislation.
The petition called for better diagnoses and treatment among-st other things.
In response to a proposed citizens’ initiative from the Dutch Association of Lyme
Disease Patients (NVLP), the House of Representatives (Tweede Kamer) has
requested the Health Council to produce an advisory report on Lyme disease. The request for advice has been couched in very general terms: What is the best way to diagnose this disease, according to current thinking? What treatment should patients receive? What gaps are there in our knowledge, and is further research needed?
Dutch Health Care Board presents and explains it's lyme advise to the parliaments health care comity 23-6-2013 later to be discussed in parliament."
