Sadly, North Carolina resident Jim Young lost his battle with late stage Lyme

Sadly, North Carolina resident Jim Young lost his battle with late stage Lyme. After deteriorating for approximately 5 years, Jim was diagnosed with ALS. Jim later discovered he actually had Lyme Disease and was able to fight back for years (far longer than the 6 month death sentence he had been handed).
Jim bravely shared his story in May 2013 to promote Lyme Disease awareness month: http://abc11.com/archive/9121538/
FOX News also picked up his story last August:http://video.foxnews.com/v/2584466440001/living-with-lyme-disease/?playlist_id=163197
FLDA Note: We pay our deepest condolences to Jim, his beautiful wife Erica, two children, friends and other family members. Unfortunately, in some cases, patients suffer permanent damage due to delays in diagnosis, particularly for those with an ALS presentation.
Sweet Jim was not able to make it. He passed away on Friday morning. We are all so very sad. So very very sad.
