Those affected by Lyme disease in Vermont have reason to celebrate. Despite opposition from the Vermont Medical Society, Gov. Peter Shumlin recently signed a new law designed to ensure that physicians in Vermont will face no disciplinary action for treating chronic Lyme disease.
