to national award-winning journalist Mary Beth Pfeiffer whose book, THE
FIRST EPIDEMIC, was recently acquired by Island Press. The premise of
the book is that tick-borne diseases, from Lyme disease to Zika, are the
first epidemic of the 21st Century. Taking it a step further, the
author will make the argument that the real culprit is Global Warming.
