Codes, Corruption and Change: Interview with Jenna Luché-Thayer | Lyme Nation

JLT: When the doctor says, “the only treatment is the IDSA short term treatment,” you can say, “actually do you know that this restriction of treatment options is considered a human rights abuse, and this particular human rights abuse against Lyme patients is on record with the United Nations?” And then I suggest you report the doctor if they do not allow to you to choose among treatment options. Report this violation of your human rights to the medical board, local media, the department of justice and your elected officials.

Alzheimer's Due toBorreliaInfection

Message from Dr Alan MacDonald
Thank you very much for your generous support of this research and education initiative.I am most grateful for your help.
Donations will be used to develop more Molecular Beacon DNA probes to detect
strains of Borrelia which are not picked up by current Blood tests.

Such include, but are not limited to, borrelia americanum and andersoni in the southern USA, borrelia Kurtenbachii in the USA and in Europe, Borrelia bissetti, which has been proven to cause human heart valve infection requiring valve surgical removal, and borrelia sinica in Asian geographies.
Multiple Sclerosis Research is the focal point for the Dr. Paul H. Duray, MD, Researc Fellowship Endowment,Inc, a medical research NOT FOR PROFIT Foundation in Florida.
The Duray Foundation was founded by me in honor of the great American Pathologist and Lyme Disease Pioneer , Dr. Paul Harrison Duray,MD. Paul passed away in 2012. He made many stellar contributions to the Medical Spectrum of Lyme Borreliosis by his microscopic expert studies, using silver stains to detect Borrelia spirochetes in diseased human Tissues.

Here are some important facts to know:
In the pre-operative assessment interview, patients should let their anesthesia professional know if they have been in an area where there is a risk of contracting Lyme disease, such as hiking areas where ticks are present. Patients who know they have Lyme disease should discuss the choice of anesthetic with their anesthesia provider.
General anesthesia may suppress the immune system. Volatile anesthetic agents may affect the functioning of white blood cells in combatting disease.
Patients with “systemic infections” (those that affect the entire body) such as Lyme disease may need to be cautious with spinal or epidural anesthesia, as they may introduce infective agents into the central nervous system. This can be especially important in the early stages of the disease when there may not yet be signs of central nervous system involvement.
Since 2005, 20,000-30,000 confirmed infections are reported to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention each year. (NB the incidence has risen to 380,000 each years after 2013)
Of the diseases required by law to be reported to government authorities, Lyme disease is the fifth most common nationally. Lyme disease is also the most commonly reported infection transferred from one living organism to another in the U.S.

Clinical Features of 705 Borrelia burgdorferi Seropositive Patients in an Endemic Area of Northern Italy

UK government reviews and some charities are saying "lets scrape up some money from the public and patients, so the UK can do some research on which signs and symptoms could enable doctors to give a diagnosis. "
Rather than saying let's get some definitive diagnostic tests, which is the real crux of the matter.
Why waste money and time when studies as good as this one have already been done in Europe?

1957 : Rose Ichelson's success of culturing "MS Spirochetes" from the cerebra spinal fluid of MS patients

T

Time Magazine in 1957 while on one hand reporting the medical breakthrough of Philadelphia MS researcher Rose Ichelson's success of culturing "MS Spirochetes" from the cerebra spinal fluid of MS patients, they also quoted the MS society on disregarding her work in favor of the new found interest in viruses. The MS Society went on to say that MS cannot be an infection because it was not passed from person to person. (But then how could it be a viral infection?) The overwhelming enthusiasm of a post-polio vaccine public was in support of a viral cause of MS. It ruined Icheslson's career in MS research and all her records were lost in a town hall fire in 1964.

Although Lyme and other tick-borne diseases were not recognized at the time, they probably added to the list of WWI infectious diseases as well

WWI-related infections such as trench foot, trench fever (caused by louse-borne Rickettsia quintana, subsequently called Bartonella quintana), a range of helminths, intestinal parasites (including Ascaris, Trichuris, Capillaria and Taenia spp.), typhus, cholera, tuberculosis, typhoid fever, dysentery, scarlet fever, diphtheria, measles, whooping cough, and smallpox were not uncommon.5 Rape, prostitution, and sexual indiscretion that often occur during wars encourage the proliferation of venereal diseases. As the war spread beyond Europe, many soldiers were infected with malaria and other exotic diseases. Although Lyme and other tick-borne diseases were not recognized at the time, they probably added to the list of WWI infectious diseases as well. "
