"Meanwhile, the B.C.-based Canadian Lyme Disease Foundation (CanLyme) has withdrawn its endorsement of the Complex Chronic Disease Program because of what it calls “inadequate diagnostics and treatment for Lyme disease patients.”
Lyme disease is caused by an infection caused by tick bites. When the clinic was first announced by the government a few years ago, Lyme advocates were hopeful that long-term antibiotic therapy for chronic cases would be utilized as would tests done to capture a variety of strains of the disease so that patients wouldn’t have to send their blood samples to private labs in the U.S."
