one year ago today we were hiking and biking in California. What a
difference a year makes. This is what Lyme does to a healthy body when
allowed to fester. When her friends are
getting excited to start high school she is excited to walk down a
hallway supported by her physical therapists.
I’m angry that we weren’t taken seriously when I inquired about Lyme years ago. I’m
angry we were pressured into getting the Gardasil vaccine which tipped her immune system over the edge. I’m angry that countless doctors and specialists refused to acknowledge her struggle, happy to tow the CDC line. I know anger may not be the most productive emotion but it’s working for me today. @luleeart
