<< A total of 57 Lone Star ticks (Amblyomma americanum) were collected
from deer. Of these, 44 were tested and 5 (11) percent) tested positive
for the Lyme disease spirochete.>>
The US DoD knew that Lone Star ticks were carrying Lyme borreliosis in 1991, yet the CDC have denied this for the last 23 years, saying that victims of bites by Lone Star ticks had something else, it couldn't be Lyme ,
