▪︎ The Western Blot only tests for one species of Lyme- and there are many.. it also doesnt test for any co infections
▪︎ Bartonella testing has low sensitivity because the bacteria
● live inside cells
● circulate in the blood intermittently
● exist in many strains not always included in tests
● present in very low numbers
● can hide in tissues
Often resulting in FALSE negatives
So families are left searching…
