"Health authorities here in Korea confirmed two more cases of a deadly tick-borne virus on Friday, bringing the total number of people who have contracted it to 17.
The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said the new patients are a 73-year-old man from North Gyeongsang Province and a 40-year-old man from South Gyeongsang Province.
Of the 17 confirmed cases, eight people have died."
